Yes, it's repairable by surgery. But unless there's a medical reason to do so (such as admitting too much light), they advise against it as the surgery could scar the cornea and cause full or partial blindness. Generally they just let it go. I have military grade safety shades that I always wear when doing anything that could cause eye damage. They're expensive, but you can't buy eyesight, you know? The guy with the chainsaw in the chest survived and is doing well!  |
