That's Not The Right Way to Catch a Catfish
São Paulo, Brazil 01/08/2016 No idea, how that happened... The emergency crew received a call about a female tourist with "something penetrating her stomach". They arrived and saw a catfish stuck in her belly with both of its fins, which were surgically removed. She's OK by now, but I doubt she'll go swimming out there again |

Re: That's Not The Right Way to Catch a Catfish
Catfish and other fish have barbs that come out around their fins that they use to deter predators. Since they're serrated they can easily get stuck in things which is why you're not supposed to transfer pictus catfish via nets. What likely happened is that she somehow brushed up against a catfish in the water and got spooked, R.I.P fish. |
