These are called Teratomas. It is not actually an enveloped twin. I have no idea where the whole "enveloped twin" thing came from. There was this girl on the show "Botched" and she had a teratoma removed previously and she was talking about how she felt so lost. She actually believed she had a twin in utero and that she somehow ate it. Then the doctor explain to her that its not actually a "twin". |

Actually, Aloha Girl, many feel that dermoid cysts, or teratomas, are in some cases the remnants of undeveloped twins. This looks like one of those cases since the body of the twin was developed enough to begin its own metabolic processes. Lots of interesting reading on it.
