Tailors Bunion

Also known as a bunionette. I had them on both my feet and I've had them a long time and they were always painful. They'd sting and burn.

Now I have that pain only in my left foot. I'll update when I see a a foot doctor. I hope to find out what exactly happened. I missed a step and there was a pop or snap sound. My foot bruise and swelled and hurt for several months. Now it feels great. Notice no bump on my right right hoof. I didn't go to Dr at the time of the injury as I figured there wasn't much to be done really.

Re: Tailors Bunion

Ouch, but thanks for posting! Hopefully your left foot will soon be fixed

One of the reasons I've never been into wearing high heels is that in most of them the shoe last is way too narrow for me. I want to prevent the formation of bunions as much as I can. Healthy feet are much more of a priority to me than dressing a certain way

scientists suspect that both inherited and lifestyle factors contribute to their development. Studies suggest that congenital and juvenile hallux valgus tend to be related to joint deformities with a genetic cause. Little is known about the genetic contribution to bunions that occur later in life, and no specific genes involved in the development of bunions have been identified.

For bunions that appear in adulthood, inherited factors related to the shape and structure of the foot and the way the foot moves (foot mechanics) likely influence a person's risk of developing the condition.

It has long been suggested that wearing ill-fitting shoes are another significant risk factor, specifically shoes that are too tight, shoes with high heels, or shoes with a narrow toe box.

Research suggests that poorly fitting shoes probably do not cause bunions, but they may make bunions develop earlier or worsen more quickly in people with an underlying susceptibility.

Re: Tailors Bunion

Very interesting thank you. A few in my family suffer from this, I did not know much about it.

My wife and I have an agreement where she can wear whatever shoes she wants all year except for my birthday

Re: Tailors Bunion

I'm glad I don't have this. I'd hate for it to be agony every step.

My broken toe is still fucking me up and I suspect I may have actually broken my foot again.

Like 3 weeks ago. It just looks like a sausage now. I didn't tink to take a pic when it was bent in half.
