He should of learned to use his computer to look up tutorials on the safe way to use a table saw. Yes kickbacks are dangerous and I have had more than a few. They can be avoided by following safe table saw practices. There are also anti kickback devices. I have used one and it really does help even though you can live without it. Always use a very sharp blade. Never have the blade extend more than a tiny bit above the work piece. Always use wood sticks to push your work through when it is to small to be safe. Always stand out of the way of any possible kickback.... And other rules that should never be ignored. I was always terrified of the blade. Being terrified of the blade made me careful and kept me safe. |
