It’s from a tibia bone, not the femur. My brother got his rod removed a few years ago and this is exactly how they did it. Cracks me up every time. I also have hardware in my leg from a car accident years ago but I’ll keep mine where it is!

they rented a slide hammer from autozone. that thing is really in there. i remember they had to pull pretty hard just to get the toothpick diameter pins out of my finger |

I also have a Tibia Nail in my Tibia (43 centimeter long) and i keep mine. It makes no problems and why removing when the Rod makes no Pain or other Issues? |
