Re: Surgeon Uses Hammer to Remove Intramedullary Rod from Patient's Leg
Should just tie em down and use like.. rope and pulleys.. with a truck pulling it or something... At least it would be a steady traction than an abrupt whack whack. |

Re: Surgeon Uses Hammer to Remove Intramedullary Rod from Patient's Leg
I think the sharp force impulse of a strike would be much better. They should have fixed the leg in place before they whacked away because the leg kept traveling in the direction of the strike which lessened the force delivered. |

Re: Surgeon Uses Hammer to Remove Intramedullary Rod from Patient's Leg
Seems like a demented game almost. Whoever can knock the pin of the patient's leg with a hammer first wins. Also, hammering's not something I'd ever want to hear around a surgery room. |

Re: Surgeon Uses Hammer to Remove Intramedullary Rod from Patient's Leg
Definitely should have fixed his leg in place. Also, when they put that rod in there to begin with, they hammered it in there.. so yeah... I guess it may as well come out the same way it went in. |
