I'm a cat freak - all animals, really- and I agree that this is abuse. Makes me sick to see it- the damage has already been done- most of these fat cats die early, sometimes just as they reach their 'goal' weight. |

I do hope this cat has had blood work done. Especially thyroid. Getting the animal to lose weight is not that terribly hard if you know how to do it. I adopted an 8 year old Dachshund that was left at my vet's office. Seems his owner went into a nursing home and then passed. The family said to put Fritz down. He weighed 46 pounds when he was dropped off 2 months before and when I got him he weight 38 pounds. It took me almost a year to get that dog down to 19 pounds. It CAN be done. Gawd......give me that cat!! |
