Suicidal Youngster Stabs and Shoots Himself in the Abdomen
Iraq, July. a youngster from Al Diwaniyah climbed on the roof of a building at a construction site and filmed himself live trying to commit suicide by cutting and stabbing himself with a knife before firing a single shot, with his pistol, into his abdomen/stomach. He says: I am Hamoudi from the Shami district, goodbye to my friends, all because of my father, I am from Diwaniyah but I am in Najaf and I am not joking with you," he says. After he tries to fire again to finish the job security agents rushed towards him. He was brought to the Hospital and recovering. The father of the young man refused to speak or comment to the media. |

Not a suicide attempt, no matter what the young guy said. This was a cry for help and self harm. Not saying he wasn't in distress/disturbed, but this is not how you go about it if you really want to kill yourself.
