Stretch Marks
Stretch marks are a skin defect in the form of stripes formed in the places where the skin is most stretched. Immediately after occurrence, they have a red-purple or deep pink color, over the years they discolor and become pearly white. ⠀ It is this skin defect that 60% of females face after giving birth and breastfeeding. The same changes in the skin can be caused by sudden weight loss (for example, when you lose weight from 80 to 50 kg). Typically, stretch marks are observed in the area of the chest, buttocks, abdomen and thighs. In fact, they are scar formations that have formed as a result of stretching and micro-trauma of elastin and collagen fibers. |

Re: Stretch Marks
I’ll explain it like this, there are areas on the body more sensitive than others. I found that my hips were some of the most painful and right under each butt cheek where your hamstring meets your glute. That’s just me. Everywhere you get tattooed hurts. It’s human skin filled with wonderful and amazing sensory nerves. Woman have a better tolerance than men do. Another consideration is how bad you want it and what you’re willing to go through to make that happen. In some cases the pain is minimal compared to the misery of the person’s situation. Yes, it hurts on your tummy but pinch the skin near your bellybutton and then pinch the skin right at your belt line then move over to right at your pelvis on the side where the skin is thinner. Compare the difference in what a couple of inches in one direction or another… sometimes it’s quite a lot. Hope that helps.. |

Re: Stretch Marks
That’s so cool to hear laughter lines rather than “crows feet” which I’ve heard all my life. “Sunrays” is okay but I love to laugh and think laughter lines is better definition. That’s a good way to earn them in my book. |
