Then you have other pregnancies where the kid is a spine rider and the mom just gets a perfect little basketball belly pooch. Then THEY get all kinds of praise for staying fit and health conscious after having the baby, when in fact they didn't do a damn thing. Just lucky genetics all around.

i resent that, i did a TON of walking and leg lifts, tyvm. i gained in all four pregnancies, 45, 50, 55, and 60 pounds with the last child. i put this on a 100lb frame each time because i ALWAYS went back to my pre-pregnancy weight. each time took a little longer, but i did it. i have only 3 stretch marks on my stomach. one from my second pregnancy, and two from the 3rd pregnancy. i have more stretch marks on my breasts and back of thighs, all from the 3rd and 4th pregnancies. but they are all silver now and you can't see them, so i'm cool with it. hasn't ever bothered any man i've been with.

my daughter, who has definitely seen my naked body before, fearfully asked me about stretch marks when she got pregnant for the very first time, so i showed her all of mine and told her, "relax, if you get them, they will be red at first, but in about five years they will look like this". i had a hard time finding the belly ones. she felt better. she didn't realize i had any until that moment.

My oh my, I had no idea stretch marks could escalate to that. Mine are invisible compared to those.

I remember when I was probably 13 or 14, my friend freaked out when I was wearing a swimsuit and had red stretch marks on my thighs. She thought I was bleeding.

I don't care about them. I have them on my hips, butt, and thighs, and it's not a problem to me.

sounds like a hell of a growth spurt. my oldest had a hell of a growth spurt in second grade, he grew seven inches taller. poor boy had growing pains all during the school year, i went through all of the children's tylenol in my cabinet and then i began cutting down adult tylenol. he didn't get any stretch marks. there is a cousin in our family whose patella separated from his legs because of an enormous growth spurt.

Wow some of those made me seriously cringe I have been very very VERY fortunate indeed; two children and not one stretch mark; apparently its down to genetics too. My mother didnt have a single stretch mark, so maybe theres something in the genetics thing?

Holy crap! After seeing these, I don't know if mine even qualify as stretch marks!!
As disgusting as they are, it's a constant reminder of that little guy who fills my heart! (Enough sappy shit, back to be gore!)
