Re: Starving Civil War Prisoner
Guess that's more weird, when you're anorectic the body can do some "close-downs" (specially me, I couldn't stand up for very long during haven't eating for 5 and a ½ weeks), but when the body is fighting for this, I mean, seems to really know it's not a self-choice, the body can do amazing turns, now I mean if that guy should have been some kind of eating disorders he would definitely be dead by now, that's what I'm telling you, when it's in serious the body do itn no matter what's inside, bone/whatever to survive...

Re: Starving Civil War Prisoner
My friend's grandfather told a story about how they were starving. Soldiers really hardly gave them food. He was nazi prisoner in WWII. There was one incident when soldiers gave them many many canned meat cans. The meat was out of date, pretty much rotting. But prisoners jumped and started eating it like crazy. It pretty much made their stomachs explode. Ofcourse soldiers found that very entertaining |
