Re: Staples or Stitches . . .
I've had both. Staples in my head and the drs sewed my ear back on after a car accident. Also staples in a huge laceration on my ass/hip/leg combo. The staples leave.a pretty cool scar, and they also itch a bit when being removed. Yeah, put me down for neither, as well. Eta: my Fucking ear hurt a full two years after that accident. It's a pretty tender spot to have all those stitches in, if I remember right, I think there were staples too. Due to the TBI, that five weeks in hospital is all kind of a blur. |

Re: Staples or Stitches . . .
You got that right! I was comatose when I came In to trauma; didn't awaken for a week. So I had no choice at all, I owe that med staff my LIFE, though. Everyone I needed to keep me alive happened to be at the hospital that day, even the Neurosurgeon who stabilized my broken neck andwent on to fuse my neck four months later since it wasn't healing correctly on its own. He saved me once, a d four months later, made it possible for me to regain mobility. I gotta say though. Wearing a Neckbrace for five MONTHS. was a real pain in the ass...or rather, neck. |
