Re: Stampede in India
I've never really been able to understand how people can be killed by being trampled by other people, especially when most of the people in these eastern-country stampedes have only flip-flops or are in their bare feet. I mean obviously people do get killed in eastern-country stampedes. But what it is? Is it just being ran over by so many people that you get suffocated? Being stepped on by other people in their bare feet (or even in flip-flops) can bruise you up pretty good, but not actually crush you. Speculation? |

Re: Stampede in India
Where do you live ?...In a cave? People get suffocated cos 1 person trips over then another ,then another and the weight of bodys suffocates all the people underneath! Its got nothing to do with flip-flops! Its the weight of body ,pressing on body that kills! |

Re: Stampede in India
Kind of sort of, in a way and after a fashion! I drive an over-the-road truck for a living. :D But seriously, I was just curious. Always on the lookout for the unusual and the strange, I have come across websites where people deliberately subject themselves to being trampled for sexual satisfaction. In a lot of those, too, their tramplers (women for the most part) are wearing high-heel shoes. I even saw one snippet where a guy was being stood on by about 20 people at once, and he had apparently gotten up afterwards. So I was just curious about the dynamic of it. If people can deliberately subject themselves to it and survive, how is it that people are killed when it happens under surging-crowd circumstances? |
