Stage 3 Cheek Cancer with Huge Lump on Forehead and Hole in Face
A 56 years old Thai man has cheek cancer. It spread to the nasal cavity. It started two years ago when a lump the size of a fingertip formed on his cheek so he went to see the doctor. The doctor told that it wasn't harmful and there was no need to remove it but when time went by he could rarely breathe so went to the doctor again and this time he was sent to the district hospital which sent him to the provincial hospital. There it was diagnosed as stage 3 cancer. He needed surgery and therefore money but he was a poor rice farmer and he and his wife did everything to borrow money and sow more rice. They still didn't have enough money after two years while the the cancer spread further forming a huge lump on his forehead and a hole in his face. He can't breathe through his nose anymore, only through his mouth a little. The right eye is completely closed and he only can drink milk with ovaltine. So this rescue worker visits people with extreme medical issues and gives them money for medical treatment. |

Re: Stage 3 Cheek Cancer with Huge Lump on Forehead and Hole in Face
Because he isn't able to eat solids due to the cancer invading his mouth and cheek. It's a gruesome fate. I knew someone who had mouth cancer, it's not an easy situation to live with. Especially once it has eaten through your cheeks, lips, gums or whatever other anatomy of the face... Eating, drinking and swallowing becomes very difficult if not impossible. Edit: Obviously he could use any liquid diet, they just picked ovaltine. But on another subject, I am amazed that a person can actually survive on Ovaltine! I didn't realize that it was so full of nutrients! |
