Brazil, A man was arrested red-handed on Sunday afternoon (21) and was charged with first-degree murder attempt.

He had been involved in a fight in the city's center near the bus station and stabbed a young man in the head with a 40 cm long machete.

According to the victim's family the victim remains hospitalized in serious condition and should undergo surgery on Monday (22).

According to the police report, the case occurred around 17 hours in front of the bus of the municipality. The craftsman, 31, was with two colleagues, one aged 21 and another 48, and became involved in an argument with another resident, an electrician of 20 years.

When medics arrived on site, they found the fallen victim on the ground with the knife stuck into the skull, losing a lot of blood. An ambulance sent the victim to the Emergency Room and later on he was sent to a different Hospital to undergo surgery.
