Splinter
A 15-year-old teenager was admitted with a facial injury: a long piece of wood was sticking out from under the skin near his right ear. Surprisingly, the injury did not lead to damage to the facial nerve, the wooden fragment did not touch important vessels and passed over the surface. Thanks to this, it was not difficult to remove a foreign object. |

Re: Splinter
Now THAT'S a Splinter to be proud of!! When I was growing up, we lacked proper entertainment in our household, so when anyone had an injury we always turned it into family fun night! Big spider bite? Family fun night as we all watched my mom "drain" it! Big ass splinter? We all get to watch mom pull it out!! Got stitches? Again, family fun night as we all got to watch the victim pull their own stitches out!! I sure do miss the good ol' days!!
