Re: Spider Bites From What I Think Are Camel Spiders
Well, all I can say is that I've seen similar injuries done by Brown Recluse Spiders. The Black Widow spider and other venomous spiders can leave you with horrible symptoms like convulsions, shock, heart failure, nerve and muscular damage, and even death. And the bite mark can be pretty nasty looking. But most spider bites, especially those in the U.S., that become that necrotic are indeed from Brown Recluse Spiders. And the necrosis is usually NOT from a secondary infection, but from the venom of the Brown Recluse Spider itself. And just a side note: Camel Spiders are huge and real. But thankfully they're not a problem here. They're in the Middle East for the most part. I actually happen to like spiders. But not poisonous ones. |
