Re: Spider Bite Forces Man to Perform Surgery on Himself
I had cubital tunnel release surgery on my left elbow (Along with carpal tunnel release surgery during the procedure on same arm.). Went back to have my bandage removed for the first time week after the surgery, just poured clear purulent fluid.. hour later felt sick, napped, woke up that night..all signs of major infection body aches/cramps, fever, etc., call doc, tells me to hold out the night. see him next day. hospitalized, he ripped the sutures out for it to drain. In the end it was a staph infection... scare of possible MRSA and compartment syndrome. (My arm was SWOLLEN) Spent the week in the hospital.. Finally got sent home, left with a gaping open wound in my left elbow. It had to be cleaned with peroxide dipped surgical swabs (The big ones..) and then packed with iodoform gauze.... Needless to say she was too squeamish. and I got stuck doing this to myself 2-3 times day for 4 weeks... When it comes down to it, and you're stuck in these situations.. Gotta do what ya gotta do. |

Re: Spider Bite Forces Man to Perform Surgery on Himself
Really he needs to take away more than that to get good boundaries... Not to mention pack it and track the spread of venom with a marker pen... I want to see what happens to the guy haha wonder if it healed?
