The Spanish bullfighter Cristian Pérez was seriously injured on Sunday, March 29, 2026, during his confirmación de alternativa (formal confirmation of his status as a matador) at the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid.

The goring occurred while Pérez was performing with the muleta on the sixth bull of the afternoon, named Carafea, from the Dolores Aguirre ranch.
