that person probably didn't get to a hospital before the cytotoxin destroyed the cells and tissue. that person is lucky to have the thumb that they do have.  |

Some creatures like the rattlesnake or brown back spider the area where they bite you swells up and dies and it has to be removed thats just the way it is the anti venom stops it killing you. I've seen huge chunks of peoples boddies removed because of rattlenake bites.
