Info with pic: Hendricks was on the wrong end of an Ovechkin shot during the Capitals’ off-day on Saturday, as an errant shot from the Russian sniper ricocheted off the glass, striking Hendricks on the ear. He rushed off the ice quickly and was tended to by the Capitals training staff, along with the Penguins’ plastic surgeon. Together, they were able to stitch the cartilage back together before eventually stitching up the rest of the ear.
