Skin Abscess: Incision and Drainage of a Large Pus Pocket
A skin abscess is a painful lump containing pus, often with warmth around the swelling. It usually develops from an infection when bacteria enter through a cut or along a hair follicle. Treatment may involve making an incision to drain the pus, and antibiotics may be used if it is infected. Redness spreading away from the lump, or feeling hot, cold or shivery, can be warning signs. |

It's an upper arm. I think I've seen this before -- if it's the one I'm remembering, the guy had injected synthol in his biceps and they became infected. He died from septicemia. |
