Well not really. People who believe they have the wrong "parts" see this as similar to fixing a birth defect so in a sense it is more like that than extreme body modification though I can see your point and, to some degree, agree with you. It does extremely modify the body but I can also see where this surgery is fixing what the individual believes was wrong at birth.
