I imagine the pain must be similar to the one you'd feel if you shoved your foot into boiling water.

Noticed the blisters? Similar to ones on burn victims?
Extreme cold injures and hurts just as much as extreme heat.

You don't feel it when you become frostbitten. It's when it begins to thaw you will go through excruciating pain.

Omg they look like theyre ready to be snapped off in those photos where the toes are black, do you still feel pain when theyre black and ready to fall off? (On the black part, I know surrounding areas would have pain lol)

I've had mild frostbite on my ears, nothing like this shit though Its comparable to getting a sunburn, you know shits happening its not like all in a sudden you wind up like that.
All I had was slight blisters and peeling skin, to get that bad you'd need to be fucking crazy or stranded.

Years ago when I worked in surgery, a woman got locked out of her house, so she slept in the car all night. You guessed it, it was 10 below zero and all her fingers and toes had to be amputated. I about puked. They take this curved hook scapel and just cut away.
