Re: September is Sepsis Awareness Month
Thanks for your post. Sepsis snuck on me at work. I had untreated pneumonia & thought I was tuff enuff to keep going. I ignored the fever, the pain & just kept going. Had too. Single mom with a family to feed. Crashed & burned on the job & they hauled me off in a wheelchair. I worked at the hospital so thankfully not too far. Almost lost my job for missing too many days. Best not to ignore pneumonia.

Re: September is Sepsis Awareness Month
the last pic is of the lower abdomen.. I think in most cases, sepsis is inevitable.. especially with internal injuries. I think of it as your body being contaminated like say.. a septic tank. the word reminds me of septic. im sure it has some relation in latin. oh and most of the males in those pics had a hernia..

Re: September is Sepsis Awareness Month
This is more of the same obese guy with info. Case of patient with incarcerated hernia. The abdominal wall is already necrotic. Sepsis, diabetes mellitus and metabolic syndrome (obesity) complicate the surgical procedure. The incarcerated cecum is perforated, you can see the muddy peritonitis . Therapy: Generous Bauchwandresektion, hemicolectomy , mesh inlay Postoperative recording an incarcerated hernia . The first step had the sepsis treatment. Then a was abdomen nersatz by an inlay mesh with a plastic Ramirez performed. This takes many weeks! Life-threatening disease with sepsis and the aggravating obesity surgery. Because it came to an incarcerated Nabenhernie Darmgangrän, Bauchwandnekrose and sepsis. In the album you can see the state of pre-and postoperatively. Despite all efforts, the patient died 14 days postoperatively of multiple organ failure. /sorry google too retarded to translate some words.. |

Re: September is Sepsis Awareness Month
Today, September 13, 2012 is the first WORLD SEPSIS AWARENESS DAY!! EVERY 3-4 SECONDS, SOMEONE DIES FROM SEPSIS If my boyfriend had not taken me to the hospital on the morning of January 4th I would have been dead by the evening. Please don't lose someone you love because of a lack of awareness! http://www.world-sepsis-day.org/ http://www.globalsepsisalliance.org/world/ http://www.ifem.cc/Events/EventsCale...epsis_Day.aspx I Heart You All <3 |
