I pretty much agree with this. It sucks that she had to go through such immense pain, but she's stupid for doing it in the first place, especially being a nurse she should have known what would happen.

You're considered legally impaired here in these U.S. after 48 hours of no sleep, at least that's what a handsome square jawed Highway Patrol officer told me. Anything in excess of that can cause a type of sleep deprivation psychosis. You need R.E.M. sleep to function, otherwise you drift away to the dark side of the moon... And then do crazy shit like inject saliva into your arm. Or make a left turn in front of a car that is in plain sight at a red light, but I wouldn't know anything about that, either. :/ |

Iv'e worked those horrible shifts also and became a Fruit Cake. I yelled at my son, when he did nothing wrong. I threw my phone because I couldn't turn it off. I cried over not being able to get comfortable in bed to fianlly get some sleep etc. You go nuts! The Nures, my friend, who did this is a great person. She is one of those rare Nurse's who gives a real shit about her patient's and other's as well. I feel bad that I didn't know how to help after she had done this. But what could I really do? I took her to the hospital & I listened after she finally got some sleep 6 days later almost, apart from napping, to her berate herself to me about how stupid she was? (Yes she was) She's OK now. We both are away from where we were working. But I see her look at her scare and be totally embarrassed. She wears her sleeves down at work so no one asks about the big scar. |
