In St. Petersburg, the caretaker of the Holy Trinity Izmailovsky Cathedral saved the life of a 54-year-old man who was engulfed in fire. He shot down the flames with a fire extinguisher and later called an ambulance.
Now the man is in a serious condition at the Janelidze Research Institute of Emergency Medicine. Doctors diagnosed him with thermal burns, judging by the footage, the man's face, neck and chest were burned.
The police became interested in the incident in the cathedral. At the scene, they found fragments of a can with a lid, fragments of clothing with traces of burning and a lighter.
Earlier it became known that the resident of St. Petersburg who was burning in the church was in an inadequate state. He came to the temple after the service.
