Russia - Hang Glider Accident
"The moment of the fall of a hang glider on a private house in Zvenigorod. O.P., who landed unsuccessfully on the roof of the cottage, is the record holder for the highest flight altitude above the ground. Four years ago, he was able to climb 3,430 meters and get into the Russian Book of Records. The athlete was not seriously injured - he was diagnosed with a dislocation of his arm."

Over 10,000 feet in a hang glider!?! No thank you. Fuck that. I was a skydiver and know what altitude is. I did a “hop & pop” at 16,000 feet. That means I jumped out of the plane and deployed my parachute immediately afterwards. It took me about 40 minutes to get back on the ground. I wasn’t trying to hurry only enjoy my ride. I wouldn’t want any part of being in an open vehicle anywhere near that altitude.  |
