Ruptured thoracic aortic aneurysm = a real nice way to say that both major arteries leading to her heart ruptured/exploded at the same time. One this severe, she bled out internally in seconds.

I actually have first hand experience with the blood rising to the surface of the skin. Mine was actually due to a tear in my right pectoralis major during a routine workout session. Let me tell you, it was rather disgusting considering from my right forarm upto my shoulder and down my armpit to my waist was all black and blue from the drainage.
