If you don't want roundworm, do NOT walk outside without shoes on. Be sure to wash your hands often and NEVER let a dog lick you in your face. Roundworm larvae can live in soil for up to ten years after an infected animal has pooped in that spot (this would include raccoons feces). There are different types of roundworm and all are very disgusting..a couple can be fatal because they can travel to your heart and in some cases, the brain. Oh yeah, cats... they like to tramp around in the woods...pic up these parasites and shit in your children's sandbox. ALWAYS cover your child's sandbox.
