Re: Removing a Tapeworm

That's not a tapeworm. It's a iodiform packing strip used to pack an abscess after an I & d. It soaks up the drainage and keeps the wound clean so that it can heal.

Re: Removing a Tapeworm

That's NOT A TAPEWORM! That's packing they put in a wound that is a spider bite. Most likely, the bite of a recluse spider. I've seen this vid before, and trust me, it's not a tapeworm.
You see how he's sqeezin it to get the puss and crap out. The whole in his side is there because the spider's venom is necrotic and it makes the flesh decompose. YUuuuuuuuMMY!
I know you got it off some other site, but you can't trust what others say, expecially since like 2/3 of the world's population is just outright ignorant.

Re: Removing a Tapeworm

Its a really long gauze. We pack this in wounds for healing. Not a tape work. Although it is interesting to watch

Re: Removing a Tapeworm

The lady in the video mentioned that a spider caused this.
I think the "worm" was actually some gauze packing being removed.

No matter how many times you try to tell anyone what it really is, they're not going to listen. I wonder why they want it to be a tapeworm sooooooo BADLY?? Either way, it looks painful. Period. It's soooooooooooooo GROSS!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Removing a Tapeworm

tugging on some gauze to get the infection out without wearing gloves. How ingenious
