Re: Removing Piece of Wood Out of a Patient's Face

When I was about 11 or 12 years old we lived in Panama because my Dad was in the Army and he was stationed there. I was out playing Army with some friends and I was going through some bamboo that was laid out flat. In the middle of it there was a hole cut out of it and there was a dead spider on the ground. I called for my friends to come look at it and I slipped and felt something hit my left leg about 2 inches above my kneecap. There was a little hole where I felt it hit and there was a drop of blood there. My Dad took me to the hospital and they x-rayed my leg and cut a little trying to see if thee was any bamboo in there. They couldn't find anything and about a month later I noticed something sticking out of that area. My Dad took me to the hospital and there was a piece of bamboo growing out of my leg. After they gave me a shot to numb my leg I was worried that it would hurt when they pulled it out so he told me that he wouldn't pull it out until I was ready. So I was feeling my leg and I decided that it was numb enough so he could pull it out and he said he already did and he just let me lay there for a while. That piece of bamboo was about 1 inch long.He let me have that piece of bamboo and it got lost somewhere over the years. It is amazing that the human body can grow bamboo out of it.
I grow wood when I play with the bimbos!
