Burn was from fallen high-voltage electricity line and entered through the scalp (patient was under line when it fell).
Scalp wounds and exit wounds on feet and lower right leg were deep third-degree burns. Chest and upper leg wounds were extensive, but only a small percentage were superficial third-degree wounds, with the majority being deep second-degree burns.
If not properly managed, extensive second-degree burn injuries can still be lethal.
