Receptionist of a Hairdresser Saves Life of a Client by Applying CPR
Brazil, The receptionist of a hairdresser saved the life of a client applying cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques (CPR) and the video of the fact was viralized in Facebook. It is Silvestre González, 31, who works in Via Belgrano and thanks to his CPR knowledge he managed to save a faded lady. "It was one of the most complex situations that I was in," he told. "I saw that the lady felt hot and short of breath and I said 'she's going to faint,' so I went over and tried to talk to her to see how far she interpreted my questions, even though she lost consciousness there." Silvestre said that the woman, around 60 years old, had no pulse and the airway was blocked. "When she stops responding, her head goes back and that's when I reacted in the best way i could, I lay her down straight and started to do CPR with pressure," he said. According to the young man, "the police arrived quickly, although the ambulance took a few minutes." In the place where he works, the vast majority of employees are knowledgeable in first aid. "You have to be prepared because at any moment it can happen," he said, adding that "everyone knows that in these situations, one acts and the rest, so that there is no panic in the place, they have to stay calm and continue with the activity". |

Re: Receptionist of a Hairdresser Saves Life of a Client by Applying CPR
Apparently that was all she needed. He must have stopped for a reason, she was responsive, and we can see that her feet were moving after that. He was right there and didn't hesitate on giving her CPR, perhaps she responded very quickly because he responded so quickly! Got to give him credit though, he just picked her up out of the chair and laid her down like she weighed nearly nothing!!! He is certainly her hero! |

Most likely she had a syncopal episode and not a heart attack which essentially means she passed out for some reason. She still needs to be seen by a medical professional but most likely not related to the heart which is good for her. He did the right thing though. Good for him too.

I loved how the dude sitting in the chair in the foreground was completely unmoved by the situation. |
