I got frostbite on my left ear when I was 15 yrs old and too "cool" to wear a hat during a brutally cold night out with my friend. The fucking pain when it began to thaw was excruciating!! Later the skin peeled like a wicked sunburn, only the skin was tough, not soft. My ear is still very sensitive when I am out in winter but at least I didn't lose it.

I got frostbite a long time ago on my fingers and you cannot believe how much that shit hurt. It felt JUST like someone took a sledge hammer and smashed my fingers to pieces, I could barely breathe that shit hurt so much.
