This is polycystic liver. I also have this, but thank the Lord my liver function is just fine. The second picture is a close-up of the cysts. When it gets too painful I go to a nephrologist for drainage. They take an 8 inch needle the size of a pencil lead and stick it through your back into the cyst. The needle is hooked to a vaccume bottle that sucks the fluid out. I am fully awake and alert when they do this (I ask not to be sedated or put under). I'm due for some more drainages soon. I'll make sure to have it video taped and give you all a shout out during it! :)  ·  · |

Oddly enough, it didn't really blister. It was a 3rd degree burn. This picture was taken about 5 days later. I'll always have the scar, but I don't mind. Scars are the badges survivors wear. |
