That second video was gross but isn't it amazing how the skin heals itself under the scabs?? The human body is fucking magnificent.
We do heel nicely, barring any medical issues.

It wouldn't be a good idea to rip scabs of a hemophiliac for instance. And I am diabetic so I don't as quickly anymore. I'd rather have the pain than the itching though.
