Re: Prossection of a Fetus.

I've just been telling myself what bisection and dissection means. I was almost right in guessing the meaning of prossection - 'Sliced in half? Cross section?'. So in half VERTICALLY, I got it Great image!

Re: Prossection of a Fetus.

So a cross section refers a specimen being cut in half horizontally I'd assume? I'm now unwinding by trying to recall different incisions

This looks similar to a display at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago

Babies heads are like that, it's so the head can pass safely through the vaginal canal during birth.
The skull doesn't fully fuse together until we're in our late teens.

Don't put more "....section" words in my already over-cluttered mind

Vivisection is EVIL.
