10 - 20 % of all people get this bacteria sooner or later, especially young kids under the age of 5, teens/young adults, elderly people and people that smoke. This bacteria can survive in humans from 2 days to 2 years and most get asymptomatic and are carrier and can transmit others by sneezing, coughing and kissing. Most of the time your immune system takes care of it but not in the case above. Group A is most common in hot environments (Africa). Group C is worldwide and Group B in industrialized countries. Vaccinations for Group B and C are done the most. The most common group now (for elderly) is Group Y so guess it's a constant monitoring what Group gets the lead and develop a vaccin against that specific group. |

I was just reading about this yesterday because of some guy in the youtube comments talking about how he has to raise 3 babies by hismelf because he lost his wife to this.
