Primary School Kid Had Tounge Cut A local primary school student here had been cut in his tounge by his fellow friends using scissors. Case is being investigated. |

(If you're serious) I doubt it, the liver is the only organ that can "regenerate" so to speak, but really it just increases in size to make up for the lost part, it doesn't actually grow back the lost part. As little as 25% of the liver can recover and grow in size. |

Also, poor kid :( grade school kids are cruel. I'd like to say I hope they got theirs, but being kids they likely didn't understand the gravity of their actions

Hated some parts of primary school. Some kids were real arseholes but looking back I probably was too.

The tongue is very vascular, and subsequently very small wounds can appear far more serious than they actually are; due to heavy bleeding. For this reason, it's a good place to inject insulin when a diabetic has a hypo, or adrenaline in anaphylaxis. |
