Police: Guy Blows Hand Off With Fireworks, San Antonio, January 3, 2021
A firework exploded at a street-racing meetup in the Eisenhauer Marketplace parking lot in San Antonio on the night of January 3, 2021, injuring two teenagers. Police said a 19-year-old man lost one hand in the explosion and severely injured the other. A second teenager suffered injuries to several fingers and his eyes, with possible loss of eyesight reported. Officers arrived just before 11 p.m. Police said about 200 racers had gathered for the meetup. The two injured teenagers had been setting off fireworks when the explosion occurred. |
