Pitbull Attack Aftermath: Suspect Mauled in Pitimbu, Brazil, March 29, 2020
A 40-year-old man was mauled by a homeowner's pit bull in Pitimbu, Brazil, on the night of March 29, 2020, and underwent surgery for facial injuries. Police said the man entered the house intending to rob it and was attacked by the dog. He fired at the dog and missed, according to police. The homeowner took the man's gun and pulled the dog off him. Police and emergency medical responders were called. The injured man was taken to Hospital de Emergência e Trauma de João Pessoa, where he underwent surgery and remained in custody. |

Strange that the dog only went for his chin and there are no other bite marks.

On 29th March 2020 in Praia Azul (Brazil), F.D.A.S. was attacked by a pitbull. 'F', a thief, had jumped over the wall of a property + broke into the home. 'F' + the homeowner started fighting + the thief fired 5 shots from his gun. The homeowner's pitbull heard the shots + came running into the house + attacked 'F'. The dog went for 'F's face, almost tearing off his lips. Caked in blood with his face disfigured + with various bites to the rest of his body, 'F' could only wait in agony for an ambulance to arrive.

That's one way to protect property, but well-bred Pits shouldn't be naturally aggressive towards humans. Back in the day attack-prone pitbulls were not bred. In fact, they were killed.

I'm surprised the dog had stopped fighting the guy in the video. Pitbulls are known to bite down and not let go.  |
