I started a series of injections to help protect me from anthrax in 1999 and continued with the boosters right up to my injury and discharge from the military. I was put on standby to move for suspected attacks several times (can't remember how many tbh) and was moved to locations on a few occasions too to provide security for the suited up scientists. They where vile and made me ill but someone had to be prepared to provide protection for the country and rightly or wrongly I believed it was my duty.... |

As I stated about the black scab/eschar.. Lovely stuff. The people that have it in their eyes...damn...  That's what gets me.. the eye ones.. the rest of them look like normal - moderate infections that will heal up .(With scarring of course.) The Wiki you posted said - |

The eye infections are sometimes caused by someone palming the anthrax spores and when close up they literally blow it into your face. The most "common" group to pick up eye contamination accidently are postal sorting room workers who handle vast amounts of mail and touch their eyes. The skin on the hands is fairly resistant to the spores but your genitals most certainly are NOT and I have seen some bloody horrific pictures and videos of infections in the nether regions one young postal temp was on her period and thats where the spores activated after they got onto her tampon (she was late teens/early 20's and German or Danish I think. There are a lot more cases out there than we know about as the governments keep it quiet to stop panic...I for one can testify there are lots of cases (or at least during the 99-2005 period I was actively involved, our teams where on constant call and at times dealing with several "incidents" a month sometimes several a week (few where genuine but the few that where where more than enough just imagine the fear of suited up and armed people dressed in coveralls turning up and you getting quarantined in your workplace it was a terrifying experience for every suspected victim. |
