Re: Picture of a Tonsillectomy

I think some ENTs will do it for patients who have chronic tonsillitis or killer amounts of tonsil stones....

Re: Picture of a Tonsillectomy

Had mine out on 06. Worst fucking pain ever. Had 2 c-sections (one where have my abdomen wasn't numb). The tonsillectomy was more painful than that.

Re: Picture of a Tonsillectomy

When my son was 7 he had a tonsil and adenoidectomy. He had sinus infections at least 3-4 times a year up until then; he's 12 now and does quite well with just his Claritin.

Re: Picture of a Tonsillectomy

Had both my tonsils and adnoids taken out when I was 2, as well as getting tubes in my ears. Was in the hospital most of my first 3 years.

Re: Picture of a Tonsillectomy

By the way the picture is upside down... for those of you that were trying to make it out and it didn't make sense. I had mine out when I was about 23 (I'm 35 now) and I've had 18 sinus surgeries... yep, 18! I had gone through a divorce and got tonsillitis due to stress over and over for about a year so, they took them out. Problem was that I needed another sinus surgery too. So.. we just decided to do them both at the same time. BAD BAD BAD IDEA! I was miserable. Not to mention that my 5 year old nephew was killed in a forklift accident a couple of days before so, I was crying in the hospital. So so painful!
