No we did not! It was the brainchild of Albert Einstien who was German. Unfortunately Germany had a beef with Jews at the time so he came to America. Had he not left Germany his secrets could have been passed on to the rest of the Axis powers and led to Japan actually nuking America. So in the long run someone was going to get fucked up. It's just easy to point the finger at the winner. P.S. have you read about Unit 731 or The Rape Of Nanking, or the bombing of Pearl Harbour? They kind of helped to escalate the situation.
