OMG, that is one of the saddest - not to mention one of the most grotesque things I've ever seen. The fact that the victim is a child makes it especially sad.  |

Is it that scalp condition that produces infections in the hair follicles? I can't think of the exact word, but the infections can permanently damage the follicles, with resulting baldness. I guess, this being where it is, they got infected and maggoty. Either that, or bot flies with resulting infection. Poor child.  |
