Ah! This reminds me! I got this crazy text the other day... something like "This is karen from the nursing home, we think one of our patients got bitten by a spider" and she texted me this gnarly purple spider bites. I told her it was a wrong number...but that she /really/ needed to get that lady to an ER. And I saved the pics, of course  |

I heard, (probably one of those old wives' tales), that some spiders are good luck so I never kill them. That is one thing I hate about wearing short pants and no socks in the hot weather, you never know when some little creature might bite you and make you sick or kill you. My youngest brother used to have a tarantula and it had to kill its food or it wouldn't eat it. He'd buy little baby mice, which annoyed me, or find cockroaches, which I don't think anyone likes. They swallow their food whole and all that remains is the bones. |
