That's true for a small percentage of patients, but many who are treated early never have a recurrence. I don't see how it's possible for cancer on an external site to get this advanced without treatment.

Poor men, cancer doesn't go easy on anyone it seems.

I would imagine those bumps are his lymph nodes being removed because cancer can spread through the lymphatic system and can end up all over the body....
