When presented with an advanced cancer of the male organ, amputation is the only procedure which will save the patient from a slow, agonizing and painful death.

The procedure itself is easy and straight forward. Cut in a circular manner first the skin, then the caverneous bodies and finally the spongiosum with the urethra. The caverneous bodies are sutured with a heavy resorbable suture and the skin is closed around the protruding urethra. A catheter is left for the first 24 hours.

That is sad. I wonder if they could give him some sort of prosthesis to at least make him feel like he still has his penis (and to please his wife).
